Nursing Council on Alcohol

UK nurses and senior multidisciplinary experts from the alcohol field (n=300) attended the November 2000 launch conference of the Nursing Council on Alcohol where national and international nurse leaders emphasised the importance of the identification of harmful alcohol use, and why nurses should be offering brief interventions to patients drinking at harmful levels.
