Interactive effects of counselor--client similarity and client selfesteem on termination type and number of sessions

Stepwise multiple regression analyses indicated that selfesteem interacted significantly with similarity on 4 of 5 MBTI scales, predicting type of termination. Findings for number of sessions were nonsignificant. Implications for counseling and research are discussed. (Abstract amended)
