Zusammenfassung: | This article examined the features of the DEVS-Scheme environment, including its underlying object-oriented foundation, the DEVS formalism, modelling and simulation constructs, and knowledge representation scheme. Some future research issues were also discussed. The object-oriented simulation environment supports building discrete event models in a hierarchical, modular manner which is more difficult in conventional simulation languages. Its application domains include flexible manufacturing systems, computer networks, autonomous laboratory robots, and group decision support systems. |
