Zusammenfassung: | The Medical Editorial Services Department at Lederle Laboratories is responsible for writing and publishing scientific documents designed to communicate essential product information to health-care professionals. Many of these documents are printed for distribution outside the company. As electronic publishing technology matured, it offered the promise of reducing production costs and times. In 1988, after a detailed evaluation, the Medical Editorial Services Department implemented an electronic publishing system for the automation of the page layout and design phase of publication. The system has been in operation for two years and has met or exceeded expectations for producing high-quality documents while reducing production costs and times. |
