An Examination of the Ethical Aspects of Articles 280 of the Turkish Penal Code

Authors Buken et al. are right to be concerned about article 280 of the Turkish Penal Code, not only because of the uncertainty about how it is to be interpreted, but also in relation to the impact it may have on the duty of confidentiality owed by health professionals to their patients & the willingness of patients to disclose to health professionals all necessary details of their condition & how it arose.
