Zusammenfassung: | In response to growing public perceptions of an increase in violent juvenile crime and consistently high juvenile arrest rates, nearly all states are developing legislation and adopting approaches to reduce the numbers of serious and violent juvenile offenders on the streets. This article describes the risk-focused approach to prevention that has been incorporated in PA's juvenile justice reform efforts. Several implications are drawn from this process assessment of four neighborhood prevention projects designed to reduce risk factors for inner city minority youth becoming involved with the juvenile justice system. 2 Tables, 37 References.
