Decreasing Relative Risk Aversion and Tests of Risk Sharing

Using the International Food Policy Research Institute data for Pakistani households and the International Crops Research Institute of the Semi-Arid Tropics data for Indian households, evidence is found in support of the decreasing relative risk aversion hypothesis, along with evidence favoring the full risk-sharing hypothesis at the village level, and evidence against the hypothesis at the inter-village level.
