Zusammenfassung:Eastern and Western cultures might benefit from finding what is right with the other's value structures rather than criticizing their respective weaknesses. The sayings of Confucius have shaped much of the Eastern values, particularly in China. Eastern values tend to focus on the good of society rather than on the rights of the individual. Recent renewed interest by China in rights and values discussions has highlighted their need to critique not only the Western post-Cold War domination but also to subtly critique their own human rights faults.
