Zusammenfassung: | It remains to be seen whether any state accepting the International Criminal Court Statute accepts it as applying to its own leaders acting in its own territory. It also remains to be seen whether other states' parties will send their young people to be killed and spend their own taxpayers' money to enforce the mandate of an international tribunal applied in the territory of another state and affecting only the people of that state. Whether states' parties will accept the definitions of crimes propounded by the ICC's judges - and by implication applicable universally - remains to be seen. |
