Zusammenfassung: | This study examines the development trend assumed by Jánossy in 13 OECD countries with GDP indicators available from 1900. It shows relevant details concerning the trendlines of the USA, Japan and certain European countries. Using Jánossy's time series from 1960, linked with OECD data, the author shows certain features of the 24 OECD countries. The author indicates differences between Austria and Hungary and has prepared a purchasing parity-based "fitted GDP series" for Hungary. With Jánossy's trendlines he estimates when Hungary will again reach its trend value. |
