Zusammenfassung: | This article deals with the question whether it is plausible to assume, on the basis of experiences in other countries and general insights into the operation of the market for owneroccupied housing, that a price correction will take place in the market for owner-occupied dwellings in the Netherlands or rather that it is reasonable to expect that the rising trend in real sales prices, which started in the 1980s, will continue steadily on the same course. On the grounds of this information, we conclude that in the medium term, we should expect to see a decline in the sales prices for dwellings in the Netherlands. |
