Zusammenfassung: | As a response to the comment made by Randall Peerenboom, Angle clarifies the issues surrounding concepts and communication that were raised by the critique. Among other things, he made clear that asking what a word means, or whether two people share a concept or, for that matter, where the boundaries of a discourse lie, are never simple and descriptive questions but are normative ones that always receive normative answers. In addition, details of his ideas touching on the question of judgments and objectivity, and thoughts about the relevance of history to his goals in the book are presented. |
