Zusammenfassung:The elastic recovery at the end of the forging process has been modelled using the finite element method. The polymer is considered as an an isotropic inhomogeneous elastic material. Thermal expansions are taken into account. It is pointed out that the polymer final shape highly depends on the anisotropic and inhomogeneous characteristics of the material. As a conse quence, it is necessary to measure carefully the elastic properties of the forged material.
