Vanadium K-edge X-ray absorption spectrum of the VFe protein of the vanadium nitrogenase of Azotobacter chroococcum

The free-living bacterium Azotobacter chroococcum contains two nitrogenase systems. One is the molybdenum-containing enzyme and the other contains vanadium. The VFe protein of the vanadium nitrogenase of Azotobacter chroococcum is discussed.
