Zusammenfassung:The authors have made reductions in these emissions using high-boost pressure and high-fuel-injection-pressure methods, along with a wide range and high rate of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). In this study, multiple injection such as pilot injection and after injection was applied to high boosted and wide range EGR diesel combustion. The effect of multiple injection was evaluated to compare with single injection. And also the timing effect of after injection on the formation of smoke was investigated by using high-speed video camera. At high boosted and high rate EGR, pilot injection is effective to reduce smoke compare to single injection. If after injection is injected proper timing, smoke and BSNO_x can be decreased. And also the difference of smoke emission by the after injection timing is observed by the bore scope system.
