Zusammenfassung:Acergy deployed a static PLET frame for the installation. The frame had been used on several other projects, but had been refurbished to suit the Ormen Lange PLETs. A 120-metric ton (132-ton) winch was also installed inboard of the frame to aid pipeline recovery, PLET-to-pipeline tie-ins, and PLET laydown. A pre-installed 7 m x 14 m (2 ft x 4 ft) steel plate supported the PLETs on the soft seabed.
