Zusammenfassung: | Hot deformation behavior of FCC cobalt and the associated microstructural changes have been studied using compression tests over a range of strain rates and temperatures in order to identify the deformation mechanism. Cobalt material when deformed at elevated temperatures exhibited considerable flow softening either with single or multiple peaks followed by steady state behavior. On the basis of metallographic observations, nature of stress-strain behavior and kinetic analysis, it was established that dynamic recrystallization occurs during hot deformation. |
