Exact Low-Order Classical Moments in Collision-Induced Bands by Linear Rotors: CO2-CO2

Analytic, classically-exact formulas are derived for the zeroth and second moments of the IR and Raman bands induced by collisions of two linear molecules. The V3 Raman and far IR rototranslational bands by CO2-CO2 are analyzed and shown to be induced solely by classical long-range interactions.
