Zusammenfassung:The improvement of traffic jam at a merging point of roads by using multi-car-following model is described in this paper. In this study, the stability of the model is analyzed for determining model parameters for improving traffic jam. Cellular automata (CA) simulation based on the model is applied for simulating the traffic flow near merging point of roads. The results are compared with them by the simple car-following model. The result shows that the use of multi-car-following model improves traffic jam near the merging point of roads.
