Zusammenfassung: | Senegal has a female adult literacy rate of 32% and societal conventions that hinder women. Less than 10% of Senalese girls finish high school. After the first IUPAP Conference on Women in Physics in 2002, problems and constraints faced by girls to study physics and women to make careers in physics in Senegal were identified and ways to overcome these problems were proposed. Progress on meeting these goals is presented. |
