Will People For The American Way Rebound?

Americans United for the Separation of Church and State; the American Civil Liberties Union; the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; the NAACP; and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. Instead of relying on paid staff in regional offices, the group is boosting its influence nationwide by nurturing several distinctive political networks: one for progressive state and local elected leaders, another for collegiate activists, and a third for progressive African-American clergy.
