Zusammenfassung:The title compound (C10H10O2Br2 ) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121 with a = 5.0319(2)Å, b = 13.5282(5)Å, c = 15.6289(6)Å, V = 1063.90(1) Å3, Z = 4, Dx = 2.01 g/cm3 at T = 293(2) K. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full‐matrix least‐squares procedures to final R = 0.078 and wR = 0.140 using 1212 observed reflections with [I ≥ 2σ(I)]. The title compound as a whole is not planar. The crystal structure is stabilized by hydrogen contacts and weak van der Waals interactions. (© 2004 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
