Zusammenfassung: | Velocity-based filters, namely the f - k filter and the t - p filter, were applied to suppress tube-wave noise in a borehole data gather recorded near the Gulf Coast of Louisiana. In comparison, wavelet-based filters, namely the median filter and the spatial derivative filter (i.e., subtraction filter), were also applied to the data. Attenuation measurements were made by using a spectral analysis program. Both velocity-based filters reduced tube waves by a factor of 6.5 with minimal distortion to the signal. In contrast, the median filter and the subtraction filter reduced tube waves by factors of 8.6 and 7.9, respectively, but caused noticeable signal distortion. |
