Zusammenfassung:The reaction coordinates for the electron transfer (ET) reactions are discussed. The channel-based reaction-diffusion equations are solved analytically for two biological electron transfer models, which allow us build an ET rate constant which modifies the Marcus-Jortner formula by adding a dynamic correction factor. The dynamic correction factor can reduce the ET rate by orders of magnitude. The theory has been compared with experiment with fairly good result.
