Zusammenfassung: | Abstract
A stiffened edge column of orthotropic composite material is considered to analyse the elastic field due to a uniform load over a part of the tip. By the approach of a displacement potential, the present mixed-boundary-value elastic problem is solved. Results of different stress and displacement components at different sections of the column are presented in the form of graphs. Effects of aspect ratio, loading area of the tip, and fibre orientation on the elastic field are also investigated. Finally, the present analytical solutions are compared with those of two different numerical methods, namely finite element and finite difference method. |
