Zusammenfassung: | A total number of 137 earthquakes that occurred after the Big Sumatra earthquake (2004-12-26, Mw = 9.3) in the area of Sumatra were used to investigate the relationship between T-wave acoustic energy and the earthquake fault parameters. Computation and investigation results show that: (I) for those earthquakes of a common given magnitude, T-wave energy produced by normal and reverse fault is lower than that of strike-slip events; (III) T-wave energy decreases with the increase in earthquake depth; (III) there is a good linear relationship between the travel time difference and the epicentral distance; (IV) a high efficient T-wave conversion area exists in the latitude range from 1.0 degree to 2.5 degree. |
