The harmonic response analysis of the surface acoustic waves interdigital transducer is presented in the paper. It is studied how the metallization ratio affects the element factor of periodic interdigital transducers. The spectral theory has been employed in the study. SAW wave-number for both the cases of isolated and short-circuited strips affects the element-factor characterizing generation and detection efficiency of periodic strips. The results for the radiation efficiency of strips for different metallization ratio is presented. This approach should be applicable to modeling the harmonic responses of the surface acoustic waves interdigital transducers. An example of the experimental measurement of the filter is presented in the paper. |
