Zusammenfassung:The International Astronomical Union (IAU)' has recently placed Pluto into a new category of planetary objects called 'plutoids'. In 2006, Pluto was deprived of its planethood and was classified as a 'dwarf planet'. With much controversy over this, the IAU decided to reconsider the classification of Pluto while declaring it as a 'prototype of a new category of planetary objects'. Now finally in 2008, the IAU has named and classified Pluto as a 'plutoid'JAccording to the IAU'.
