Zusammenfassung: | The double-diffusive natural convection in a porous cavity with partially permeable wall and with variable porosity was analysed by solving mass, momentum, energy and concentration balance equations, using Darcy's law. A cell-centred finite volume scheme was applied to solve the governing equations. Heat and mass transfer characteristics as isoconcentration lines, streamlines, isotherms, average Sherwood numbers and Nusselt numbers were studied for different values of Darcy modified Rayleigh number and porosity. The tests were performed at steady state using different sets of grids for numerical accuracy and stability. |
