Zusammenfassung:Using nano/micro-indentation and nanoscratch techniques incorporating optical microscopy and atomic force microscopy (AFM), mechanical/tribological properties of a rheo-formed Al 6061 wrought alloys have been investigated. The results have been compared to those obtained by using a Vickers hardness test. For the Al 6061 alloy, peak hardness and surface roughness in specimens aged for 10 h after solution-treatment at 530 °C have been obtained. By using the constant load scratch (CLS) method, tribological characteristics of rheo-formed material was investigated. By using this technique, the heat treatment condition for rheo-formed wrought alloys was optimized.
