Zusammenfassung: | This paper aims to clarify the utilization of school buildings under the departmentalized classroom system and examine advantage/disadvantage of the system in a nationwide school survey. Major findings are as follows; 1) Approximately 50 schools are carrying out the system in national and municipal junior high schools. 2) In many those schools, home base, subject laboratories and media center are set up. 3) Most advantages of the departmentalized classroom system are classified into subject management. 4) The problems under the departmentalized classroom system vary with the school size, formation and floor space of home base, possession of subject laboratories or media center, formation of teacher's office. 5) Even schools with home base represent the problem connect to student guidance and class management. |
