Zusammenfassung:The microstructures and low-cycle fatigue properties of Al–Li alloys with and without Sc addition were investigated. The results showed that the addition of Sc in Al–Li alloy can change its microstructure conspicuously, and improve its low-cycle fatigue properties. Sc addition to Al–Li alloy decreases the growth rate of δ′ (Al 3Li) particles, and promotes the precipitation of the S′ (Al 2CuMg) phase. In addition, new strengthening phases, such as Al 3Sc, Al 3Li/Al 3Sc and Al 3Li/Al 3(Sc,Zr), also precipitate in Al–Li alloy with Sc addition, which is the main reason for the improvement of the low-cycle fatigue properties of Al–Li–Sc alloy.
