Zusammenfassung:A method, a quasi-twisting method, was proposed that the effect of twisting in subdivided HTS coated conductor is obtained without twisting the conductor itself. Superconductor layers on substrates of coated conductors are subdivided into multiple filaments by slantwise striations and a quasi-twisted conductor is composed by stacking a pair of these conductors face to face the superconductor layers inside and jointing the superconducting filaments on those conductors. A model of the quasi-twisted conductor was made to investigate effectiveness of quasi-twisting method. The joints between the filaments were made by thermal diffusion process of Ag protection layers on the superconductor filaments that are resistive. The experimental result shows that Joule losses of the joints are small compared to the magnetization loss and basically that the quasi-twisting method is effective.
