Zusammenfassung: | A series of test firings were carried out for the purpose of evaluating the ignitability of cylindrical firework stars. The stars were bare (unprimed), primed and partially primed and restricted (PPR). The stars failed to ignite when the lift charge was increased beyond some limiting amount. That limiting lift charge amount was then used to characterize the ignitability of the stars. The ignition-limit lift charges amounts for primed and PPR stars were larger than that for bare star and correlated well with each other. This suggested that both might be used for evaluating the ignitability of primed stars, The ignitability of primed stars was not constant but varied with the ignitability of the bare stars. |
