Zusammenfassung:This paper brings out the results on the comparison of luminescent characteristics - photoluminescence (PL) spectra, photoluminescence excitation (PLE) spectra, PL relaxation - of TbF3 and Tb0.957Sm0.038Ho0.003Pr0.002F3 (TSHPF) crystals. On the basis of these experimental results the energy transfer peculiarities between rare earth ions in the TbF3-SmF3-HoF3-PrF3 stoichiometric mixed crystal are studied. Very efficient energy transfer from the Tb3+ ions to the Sm3+ ions is found. The mechanism behind such a process has been explained in terms of an energy level diagram.
