Zusammenfassung:The controlled assembly of active microtubule (MT)‐based networks offers great promise in numerous technologies. The design and construction of these systems requires MT growth in 3D scaffolds such as gels. We report on the morphology of MTs grown in a crowded environment in the form of viscous fluids containing agarose, and in confined environments in the case of solid agarose gels. The experimental results are supported by a computational model.
