Zusammenfassung:For the detection of antipersonnel landmine, we are trying to establish a landmine detection system by combining a D-D fusion neutron source with radiation detectors. The principle idea of this system is based on the detection of capture gamma rays from explosive, which is emitted through the capture reactions of neutrons by elements included in the explosive. We are focusing on the detection of 10.83 MeV and 5.27 MeV capture gamma rays from nitrogen because most of explosive contains nitrogen.
