Zusammenfassung:The paper focuses on the light habitat of two populations of opossum shrimps Mysis relicta (Crustacea: Mysidacea) and the molecular mechanism of their visual pigments’ spectral tuning. Data are presented according to which spectral tuning is based on the expression of different opsins genes and not on the replacement of chromophore groups: retinal-1 (A1) ↔ retinal-2 (A2).
