Zusammenfassung:One of the most venerable areas in synthetic organic chemistry is the synthesis of heterocyclic molecules. Chromene, a naturally occurring compound, occupies a significant position in the arena of heterocyclic chemistry, serving as a preferred framework for the synthesis of a variety of chemical scaffolds intended for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. Furthermore, the utilization of magnetic nanocatalysts and is an exponentially expanding domain in the pursuit of sustainable and environmentally friendly methodologies. Therefore, considering the importance of chromene derivatives in the realm of heterocyclic chemistry and magnetic nanoparticles as green and sustainable methods in green synthetic chemistry, we hereby demonstrate the most recent developments pertaining to the fabrication of chromene and its multifarious derivatives. This comprehensive review mainly encompasses the advancements in synthetic methodologies from 2018 to 2022 employing various magnetic nanocatalysts under environmentally friendly conditions including (1) water as solvent, (2) ethanol as solvent, (3) water:ethanol as solvent, (4) solvent-free approach.
