Zusammenfassung:Termites or white ants are comparatively a small group of social insects. Besides their usefulness, termites cause significant economic loss to both agriculture and non-agricultural sectors as pests. Chemical pesticides are often the dominant modes of termite control. Indiscriminate use of chemical pesticides is undesirable and associated with adverse effects. This review illustrates the biology of termites and discusses on potential non-chemical-based bio-control measures against agricultural termite pests.
