Zusammenfassung:ATR FTIR spectroscopy and deconvolution techniques are applied in this work in order to obtain structural information on serum albumin and hyaluronidase upon adsorption onto orthopedic biomaterials polymethyl methacrylate. Quantitative analysis of both proteins by curve fitting to the inverted second derivative spectra of the conformationally-sensitive amide I and amide III bands indicate perturbations of both alpha-helix and beta-sheet structures upon adsorption process.
