Zusammenfassung: | Dengue, a mosquito-borne disease transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, is a significant global health concern. Despite extensive research, effective treatments remain limited. The indole nucleus, known for its diverse pharmacological properties, has emerged as a promising scaffold for anti-dengue drug discovery. This review comprehensively examines recent advancements in the fields of natural products, medicinal chemistry, and computer-aided drug design focused on discovering indole-based anti-dengue agents. We discuss the rationale for targeting indole frameworks, highlight key structural features associated with anti-dengue activity, and summarize recent research findings. The review aims to provide valuable insights for researchers working on developing novel anti-dengue therapeutics. |
