Frank Longo: taking on Alzheimer's disease

During his final year as a medical student, at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Longo found himself on a neurosurgery away rotation at Boston Children's Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, in Boston (MA, USA). Early in his research career, he received a grant to study cerebral palsy, which was an opportunity to fulfill his scientific vision inspired by his sister's experience with the condition.
