Zusammenfassung: | Obesity rates in the US have significantly increased in recent decades, affecting both adults and children. This rise in obesity is strongly linked to the development of cardiometabolic diseases in adulthood. Projections indicate that by 2050, the prevalence of diabetes and obesity among adults will continue to rise. Additionally, the rates of obesity in children are expected to increase, along with unhealthy diets and sedentary lifestyles. Non-Hispanic Black and Hispanic populations have higher rates of obesity compared to other groups. |
