A case of Japanese spotted fever with purpura fulminans

Early intervention is imperative in cases of JSF due to its potentially fatal trajectory if diagnosed belatedly. JSF should be contemplated in the differential diagnosis when generalized purpura, accompanied by a pronounced inflammatory response, is noted, even in the absence of a puncture wound.
