Zusammenfassung:The species Ph PNNC 1 reacts with the group 13 Lewis acids E(C F ) (E = B or Al), HB(C F ) , ClAl(C F ) and ECl (E = Ga or In) to give the Lewis acid-base adduct Ph PNNCB(C F ) 2, the zwitterionic product (Ph PNH)B(C F ) CNB(C F ) H 3, the chelated salts [(Ph PNNC(CN)NPPh )ER ][EX R ] (E = Al, R = X = C F , 4; E = Al, R = C F , X = Cl, 5; E = Ga, R = X = Cl, 6), and the neutral species [(Ph PNNC(CN)NPPh )InCl ] 7. The nature of these variations in reactivity are rationalized and the potential utility considered.
