Zusammenfassung: | Pulmonary embolism is defined as the abrupt obliteration of the trunk or a branch of the pulmonary artery by an embolus most often from a deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs. It is serious, underdiagnosed, and can be life-threatening. We report the case of a patient who presented with a massive acute pulmonary embolism while taking olanzapine. The interest of our case lies in its rarity, its seriousness but also the possibility of prevention and adequate management in the case of any suggestive clinical symptoms. |
