Zusammenfassung: | The paper describes the deposition of the composite NiP-ZrO2 coatings by electroless process, and the characterisation of the coating mechanical and tribological properties. The process parameters, namely deposition temperature, particle concentration in the bath and stirring rate, were systematically investigated with respect to the incorporation rate (Vp) of the zirconia particles in the NiP coatings. The mechanical and tribological properties of the composite coatings are strongly influenced by the incorporation rate. In fact, the values of hardness, friction coefficient and wear resistance of the coatings increased with the increase of the Vp and the temperature of the post-deposition heat treatment. |
