A Letter to the Restless

Since our last magazine issue, we have seen even more political and social unrest-amid an election season that, between the time of my writing this and your reading it, could change drastically. At a point after the pandemic and the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, when the news was dominated by those events, Raquel chose to put her energy elsewhere. Power in focusing on something other than negativity; power in creating art and conversation when it would have been so easy to focus on doom and gloom in the world around us.
