Estimate of the rock mass stress state in the course of mining the reserves subjacent the open pit bottom at the “Udachnaya” pipe

Using the mathematical modeling approach, the rock mass stress state is analyzed in the case of the open pit and underground mining of ore reserves of the 'Udachnaya' pipe, the stability of the open pit walls and possible failure of the host rocks in the area of second working are estimated.
